Use this school supply list as a guide in preparing for school, whether you start the year in Room 130, or move in mid-year:What’s providedI will provide the following supplies to each student:

  • Writer’s folder for Writer’s Workshop
  • Shuttle folder
  • “Leftovers” folder for work in-process
  • Whiteboard to use for warm-up and math problems
  • Notebook paper for general use
  • A notebook for Literature Circles
  • Crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks and scissors for classroom use

What’s requiredPlastic envelope with a drawstring

  • Several pencils (mechanical or standard)
  • A pencil box or bag to organize loose items
  • Dry erase markers for daily use
  • Three poly envelopes (see picture) to organize math, science, and social studies books, notes and homework

What’s recommended

  • Pens (bright colors) to use for checking papers
  • Ruler (English and metric units)
  • Washable markers, crayons or colored pencils
  • Scissors
  • Washable glue or glue stick
  • Highlighter(s)
  • An old sock or rag for a whiteboard eraser
  • A mug for drinking juice during our “Paper and Coffee” Fridays
  • A water bottle
  • A personal bottle of hand sanitizer

A student can get by without having the recommended supplies in their desk, as most of these are provided for classroom use. However, students will save time if they have these supplies in their desk, rather than having to round them up from all over the room.What I have for purchase
