Letter grades are assigned to student work and report cards based on the following scale:

98% and above A+
92-98 A
90-92 A-
88-90 B+
82-88 B
80-82 B-
78-80 C+
72-78 C
70-72 C-
69 and less NY*


*NY = Not Yet. This is the equivalent of a D or E.

Notes:

Some subjects, such as behavior, personal and social growth, cursive, technology, health, and speaking and listening are assessed using a four-point scale:

(4)		 Well developed at this time
(able to perform skills without assistance)
Three
(3)		 Developing skills as expected
(able to perform skill with minimal assistance)
Two
(2)		 Further development required
(teacher guidance necessary to performs skill)
One
(1)		 Unacceptable

Students will also receive the following grades on completed homework:

- NY
